DESCRIPTION:The Belgrade and Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestras will alternate in performing eight symphonies, with several breaks, at the City Concert Hall in Novi Sad on 26 June from morning until evening hours.\nTimeline:\n10 a.m. – Symphony No. 1 and Symphony No. 2, Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra\n12.30 p.m. – Symphony No. 3 and Symphony No. 4, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra\n3 p.m. – Symphony No. 5 and Symphony No. 6, Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra\n5.30 p.m. – Symphony No. 7 and Symphony No. 8, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra\nThe culmination of the Beethoven Marathon will be the ‘Ninth Symphony’ and the famous ‘Ode to Joy’, in the honour of Europe and European heritage, which will be performed together by the Belgrade and Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestras, Slovak Philharmonic Choir, and four soloists from the Netherlands, Austria, and the USA. The performance of Symphony No. 9 will be organised as a major open-air concert,  at the Petrovaradin Fortress on 26 June at 8.22 p.m.\nThe Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most important music institutions in our country will, together with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, take us on the unique symphonic Beethoven Marathon, as a demonstration of artistic strength, showing us the development of Beethoven’s work, and finally trying to send a message of peace and joy to the whole of Europe.\nOver two hundred and fifty professional singers, as well as musicians from Germany, Serbia, and Slovakia, will turn the most important orchestral works of this maestro into a magical encounter with a special kind of classical music – an encounter that crosses national borders, is international, connects cities and peoples in true cultural exchange.\nAdmission to the open-air concert is free, while tickets for the concerts in the City Concert Hall are on sale, for each of the four concerts separately, and as of today, they are available at all Gigs Tix outlets, as well as on their website ( http://gigstix.com/ns2022 ).\nThe ticket price for one concert is 1,700 RSD, and on the occasion of the World Music Day, we are giving away a 50% discount on tickets for the 1st and 2nd concerts.
