DESCRIPTION:The play ‘Tears of St. Lawrence’ will be performed during the ‘Upad’ theatre festiva ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/invasion/ )l at the SCC Fabrika on 10 May at 8 p.m.\nThe ‘Tears of St. Lawrence’ play was based on the text by Nikola Stanišić, adapted and directed by Saša B. Latinović, produced by the National Theatre ‘Sterija’ from Vršac.\nWord of the director: During the creation of this play, the current question was whether the killer was born with a genetic code or whether it was influenced by upbringing and the influence of the environment. Seeking an answer, we peeked into the head of Johnny, the serial killer, during one of the hypnotic sessions of his healing. We have learned that the main ‘trigger’ of his dark urges is the lack of love. Along the way, many new motives and topics for reflection have opened up, from guilt and imposing guilt on victims, gender identity, violence against women, parenthood and repentance. If we have managed to touch the incomprehensible, dreamy, ‘on the other side of the mirror’ in all of us, we will be glad, because we know that the everyday mirror in which we look can be painful and relentless.\nCast: Miloš Đurović – Johnny, Jovana Božić – Sara, Ivan Đorđević – man in a white coat/Lawrence.
