SUMMARY:Kids of the Future / CulturEssence
DESCRIPTION:Part of the ‘CulturEssence’ project is a tribune on the importance of including children in the performing arts, which will be held at the Mlin Cultural Station on 7 April at 6 p.m. The project is part of the Schools of the Future programme unit dedicated to the development of children and youth, with a review of the formal education system and the promotion of its alternative models through art, play and creativity.\nThe tribune will discuss our role in directing children to culture and stage activities, the strength of the performing arts in the educational process and solving children’s problems while growing up. We will talk about practical exercises and specific tips on solving peer problems with children.\nPublic talks are led by competent experts in child pedagogy, individuals with experience in working with children in the field of stage creation, project participants and children of different age.\nThe debate is led by graduate pedagogue Snežana Golić. Participants: Sonja Leštar, acctress and drama pedagogue, Dunja Deurić, master music pedagogue, Milan Inić ‘Yasserstain’, creator of educational series for children and youth (YouTube and social platforms), Vesna Pašćanović, independent artist, founder of the association ‘Groove’.\n‘CulturEssence’ is a cultural action whose main goal is to highlight the power of culture and performing arts in the development and formation of personality in children and youth through various activities and art forms, by direct involvement in all segments of the project – from work creation to implementation.\nThe project includes children and young people, their parents, pedagogues, relevant experts and the widest audience in all phases of preparation and implementation. Through international cooperation and professional workshops, the project contributes to the exchange of experiences, improvement of pedagogical techniques and work with children and youth, and encourages intercultural dialogue and the promotion of common European values.\nThe main goal of the project is to develop a critical approach related to the forms of artistic expression and emphasize the power of culture and the importance of performing arts in the development of the personality of children and youth.\n
