SUMMARY:Flags of the Future
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Flags of the Future’ programme unit deals with the artistic views of children and young people on current social issues and encouragement of their critical expression; it takes place through playing with established artistic expressions, through new forms and genres, or through reshaping classical genres.\nThis programme selection invites new generations to revive the Great Liman as a meeting place for the rich industrial heritage of the city and modern culture and creativity because the Great Liman is one of the symbols of Novi Sad urban development which has always been a meeting place for rebellious young people, sports activities, and alternative cultural content. The former industrial zone of the city, which is a symbol of the Great Liman, has today been transformed into a unique creative district within the European Capital of Culture, whose renovated industrial spaces for cultural purposes are a unique phenomenon in this part of Europe.\nThe program will last from 28 to 30 April as part of the Future of Europe ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/future-of-europe/ ) programme port and will include the following events:\nThursday, 28 April \nLiman Park\n7 p.m. Opening of the exhibition – ‘Leave or Stay?’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/the-leave-or-stay-exhibition/ )\nCreative District / Liman Cultural Station \n11 a.m. Panel discussion – ‘Leave or Stay?’ debate ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/the-leave-or-stay-debate/ )\n7 – 9 p.m. Panel discussion as part of the ‘Groovin’ Street Dance Festival ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/groovin-street-dance-festival-panel-discussion/ )\nCreative District / Radionica\n7 p.m. Opening of the exhibition – ‘Drawings Travel Through Time’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/exhibition-drawings-travel-through-time/ )\nCreative District / Fabrika\n9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Theatre Festival – The First Festival of Applied Theatre / Art in the Palm of Your Hand ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/art-in-the-palm-of-your-hand-the-first-festival-of-applied-theatre/ )\n7.30 a.m. Opening of the exhibition – ‘Differences’ / Art in the Palm of Your Hand ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/art-in-the-palm-of-your-hand-exhibition-differences/ )\nCreative District / Svetionik\n8 p.m. Performance – Student-vocal manifestation ‘SVI in Action!’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/student-vocal-manifestation-svi-u-akciji-they-live/ )\nCreative District / Jazz Marathon / STAGE 2\n8 p.m. Concert – Purple is the Color ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/purple-is-the-color-flags-of-the-future/ )\n9 p.m. Concert – Arthur Possing Quartet ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/arthur-possing-quartet-flags-of-the-future/ )\n10 p.m. Concert – Marko Louis ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/marco-louis-flags-of-the-future/ )\nCreative District / Jazz Marathon / STAGE 4\n8 p.m. Concert – drumbooty ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/drumbooty-flags-of-the-future/ )\n9 p.m. Concert – Hauptman ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/hauptman-future-of-europe/ )\n10 p.m. Concert – Any Key Trio ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/any-key-trio-flags-of-the-future/ )\n11 p.m. Concert – Kijube ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/kijube-flags-of-the-future/ )\nFriday, 29 April\nCreative District / SCCNS Fabrika\n7 p.m. Fashion show – ‘Fashion Connection’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/fashion-connection/ )\nCreative District / Svetionik\n7 p.m. Exhibition – ‘They Live – Student Lives Revealed Through Context-Based Art Practices’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/they-live-student-lives-revealed-through-context-based-art-practices/ )\nCreative District / Liman Cultural Station\n5.30 – 7 p.m. Workshop – ‘Me as a Digital Editor’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/me-as-a-digital-editor-a1-srbija/ )\nCreative District / NU Jazz and DJ Sets / STAGE 4\n7 p.m. Concert – Frontline Vibers ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/frontline-vibers-flags-of-the-future/ )\n8.30 p.m. Concert – Àbáse ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/abase-flags-of-the-future/ )\n10 p.m. Concert – Turbojazz ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/turbojazz-flags-of-the-future/ )\nSaturday, 30 April\nCreative District / SCCNS Fabrika\n7 p.m. Fashion show – ‘Fashion Connection’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/connecting-through-fashion-april-30/ )\nLiman Park \n10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Painting the park and dance festival – ‘Groovin’ Street Dance Festival’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/groovin-street-dance-festival/ )\n11 a.m. Panel discussion, workshops, and circus school – ‘Find Your Balance!
