DESCRIPTION:The day after we can see this fairy tale interpreted by neighbouring troops from Rijeka and Maribor, the play ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ will be performed by the Herceg Novi Theatre from Montenegro at Youth Theatre on 9 May, as part of the Future of Europe ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/future-of-europe/ ) programme arch.\nThe play begins with an election for an emperor. The audience listens to election programmes and votes. The chosen king then becomes corrupted, as is in the fairy tale. He only cares about his own comfort and the absolute power that the ‘invisible’ suit would give him.\nDuring the play, the audience is reminded through various comic and grotesque situations that the responsibility for the election of rulers (was) on them and how carefully the given promises must be considered.
