DESCRIPTION:The young Novi Sad Choreographer Staša Kukić ( https://www.facebook.com/stasa.kukic ) will be part of Doček, within the never-before-seen exhibition in the region ‘Tesla Light Gallery’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/tesla-light-gallery/ ), that will offer a unique audio-visual experience to visitors. You will have a chance to see her performance, including 11 dancers, in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress on 31 December.\n‘In recent months, the creative team has been creating a story that we will convey to the audience – from a detailed analysis of all locations, through the elaboration of the structure, to finalising the details of the performance. We will tell the story of Nikola Tesla and thus convey some interesting facts in a completely new way, and make the event itself unforgettable’, says the choreographer.\nThe performance by Staša Kukić comprises three different periods of Tesla’s life.\nThe entrance is free of charge.\nThe ‘Tesla Light Gallery’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/tesla-light-gallery/ ) is a product of the creative synergy of several famous international artists from different cities, who are proud of the European Capital of Culture title. A group of artists will take citizens through the inspiring spaces of the Baroque town, transformed through powerful art interventions. Space installations will reveal the different aspects of light as a tool for artistic expression that puts into focus diverse Tesla’s discoveries, as well as Tesla’s unfulfilled dreams.\nThe Rainbow Bridge, historic buildings in Beogradska Street and the Belgrade Gate itself – all architectural objects we will pass by – will be transformed into a monumental play of light, movement and sound through fixed, dynamic, wireless and interactive audio-visual lighting technologies, including 3D projections.
