DESCRIPTION:The workshop ‘Over the Head – Discourses of a Piece of Cloth’ will be held at the Svilara Cultural Station on 19 and 20 May at 11 a.m., within the project ‘Shawl as a Cultural Signifier’ which is part of the Heroines ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/heroine/ ) program arch.\nAfter a short introductory lecture on different discourses on head shawls, participants will have the opportunity to try out different techniques of tying this head covering and to put themselves in the position of women who wear it. The next part of the workshop will include talking about ideas, attitudes, and feelings that arose during wearing the shawl.
