DESCRIPTION:The performance of the hip-hop band Pretty Loud will be held on the stage in the passage near the bookstore Bulevar Books, on 11 June at 9 p.m. The concert will be implemented as part of the ‘Autonomous Festival of Women’, which will be held within the Heroines ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events-calendar-heroines/ ) programme arch.\nTraditionally, Roma women are encouraged to leave school early and marry young. Pretty Loud is the first Roma band and they are dedicated to breaking this stereotype and giving a voice to Roma women. Their unique music, performances and literary projects aim to empower the next generation of Roma women, combining rap, hip-hop and the Roma music of their ancestors.\nThrough their texts in Romani, Serbian and English, they talk about their daily challenges and hopes, as well as more complex topics such as race, representation and social justice.
