DESCRIPTION:The opening of the conference ‘Peace and Legislation’ will be held on 24 June at the Rectorate Building of the University of Novi Sad at 9 a.m.\nThe conference will be opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, Prof. Branislav Ristivojević, PhD. The participants will be greeted by Prof. Dejan Madić, PhD, Rector of the University of Novi Sad, Mr Daniel Mohseni, Second Secretary and Political Adviser to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Serbia, Mr Thomas Schieb, Prof. Florian J. Schweigert, PhD, Vice President of the University of Potsdam in charge of international affairs and finance, Prof. Tamás Antal, PhD, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Szeged, Nela Milišić, Assistant Provincial Secretary for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Darko Tadić, MA, President of the Court of Appeals in Novi Sad.\nThe international conference and panel discussion on the history of peace agreements (from the Treaty of Karlowitz to the Dayton Agreement) ‘Peace and Legislation’ will be held from 23 to 25 June as part of the Fortress of Peace ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/fortress-of-peace/ ) programme.\nThe multidisciplinary conference ‘Peace and Legislation – European Peace Treaties in Wider Social Context’ sets a framework for institutionalising and raising the level of cooperation between, on the one hand, three law schools involved in this project from three European cities: Novi Sad, Potsdam, and Szeged and on the other hand, scientists of other social sciences and humanities whose area of expertise includes peace issues.\nPhoto: Promo\n
