DESCRIPTION:‘(Non)Working Hours – Tuning the Sustainable Community’ workshops will be held at the pavilion on Štrand, within The Danube Sea ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/the-event-calendar-danube-sea/ ) programme arch, from 25 to 31 July, from 2 to 6 p.m.\nThrough a one-week open workshop, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with all segments of the procedure of processing plastic waste, that is directly collected on Štrand, into finished designed products.\nThis includes collection, selection by type, preparation for crushing, shredding, pressing, extrusion with the help of a cast, etc. but also a series of discussions dedicated to a completely new approach to work, art, technology, sociability, and design.\nThe finale of this one-week adventure will be rounded off with an impro-concert that will combine sounds of machines, instruments made of waste, and voices.\nThe aim of the project is to unite the spheres of education, local activism, social inclusion, and socially conscious activities of the local community.\nAs part of the project, all citizens will have the opportunity to participate in workshops at the pavilion on Štrand from 2 to 7 p.m.:\n25 July / DAY#0: ESTABLISHING THE BASE ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/establishing-the-base/ )\n26 July / DAY#1: (MATERIAL) WHAT’S THE WASTE, NOW?
