SUMMARY:Good for Life (Danube Dragon)
DESCRIPTION:‘The Danube Dragon’ is an International Volunteer Camp organised in Jazak (Fruška Gora) from 17 until 27 July, while from 28 until 31 July, it will be held in Novi Sad.\nThe camp will gather 13 young volunteers and two camp leaders, who will participate in actions of cleaning and arranging the banks of the Danube together with the engaged staff on the project, building applied art installations, and promoting peace, art, and environmental protection.\nThe project aims to stress the importance of preserving the Danube River and directly contribute to improving the condition of the Danube shoreline near Novi Sad by organising actions of cleaning it and setting up applied art installations at the Štrand city beach on the left bank of the Danube.\nThe installations will be made from recycled materials, while they will get a new purpose and life in the form of artistic bins for waste disposals, which will help better protect Novi Sad from dirt and garbage. The art installations will be temporarily set up on Štrand, while they will be permanently placed in the Creative District.\nTen such bins will be installed – one for each country that makes up the Danube basin (Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia and Ukraine). All installations will be visually marked.\nThe International Summer Camp within the ‘Danube Dragon’ project is a summer camp oragnised by the Environmental Engineering Group in cooperation with the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation.\nEnvironmental Engineering Group invites all interested young participants aged from 18 to 30 to apply by filling out a form at the following link ( https://frontend.workcamp-plato.org/searchresult.352.aspx?startDate=&endDate=&countries=&gender=&age=20&types=&projects=&plus=false&code=VSS01&platoorgid=20ae38c3-9080-4936-9ebf-68629afbb786&vegetarian=&nofee=&disabled_vols= ).\nYou can find more information on the summer camp at the following link ( https://www.activity4sustainability.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/366.pdf ).\nPhoto: Jelena Ivanović\n
