DESCRIPTION:The play for children ‘Agi and Ema’ will be held in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress on 18 September within the Kaleidoscope of Culture ( https://kaleidoskopkulture.com/en/kaleidoscope-calendar/ ).\nThe ‘Agi and Ema’ play is a dramatization of the short novel of the same name by Igor Kolarov. The novel has become a children’s classic and has been part of the primary school reading list for years.\nThe play uses the so-called theatre of objects that is the contemporary world trend in puppetry, which is a novelty in Serbian theatre, given that puppetry is not studied at our academies. The theatre of objects is important for the children in the audience because it draws attention to the fact that anything can be a toy, that children can play with anything they have around them, and that objects can become new easily animated characters.\nThe play is primarily performed for the audience aged seven to thirteen, but also for parents and teachers.
