SUMMARY:Bits and Bytes
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Bits and Bytes’ exhibition will open at Biro in the District and will last until 8 September.\nIt turns the gallery space into the Space of impossible encounters, where digital and physical elements equally constitute reality. The work is based on collective nostalgia and vividly communicates with memory and its inherent emotional states.\nFrank Sinatra, constructed with the help of artificial intelligence, and shown as a hologram (Pepper’s Ghost) projection behind a physically present instrument, performs a track about his capacity to evoke an authentic emotional experience despite his apparent imperfection.\nThe work tries to avoid the trap of technical visual perfection as a carrier of persuasiveness, generated as a revived photograph rather than a hyper-realistic ‘deep fake’. It relies on the voice, music, words of the track, scent, own spatiality, ambience, and memory in an attempt to achieve a meaningful, honest emotional reaction from the audience.\nThe Gallery 12 is a transdisciplinary new media studio that focuses on the creation of contemporary content that connects art, media, science, and technology. It gathers talents from different fields, including artists, curators, architects, programmers, engineers, and roboticists under the same roof. The collective shares unique museum, gallery and commercial experiences, and digital content and software solutions. One of their latest endeavours is developing and producing exhibitions for the Museum of the Future in Dubai.\nPartners of the Kaleidoscope of Culture 2022 are Erste Bank, IDEA, DDOR, A1 Srbija and Heineken Srbija.\nPhoto: Promo\n
