SUMMARY:Makers of Magic / Biennale of Stage Design
DESCRIPTION:‘Makers of Magic’ will be presented in the District, at Radionica facility, location 6, from 1 to 9 September. \nThe exhibition is carried out as part of the ‘Biennale of Stage Design’ project and is part of the opening of the Kaleidoscope of Culture ( https://kaleidoskopkulture.com/en/kaleidoscope-calendar/ ) programme arch.\nThe ‘Makers of Magic’ project deals with the invisible people behind the scenes. It was launched with the aim of recording and preserving the crafts, skills and people who are the arteries of the theatre but are never in front of the audience. In the first edition, ‘Makers of Magic’ are a series of short video interviews recorded in different theatres in Serbia, in the workplaces of people with whom theatre authors like to work the most.\nIn the first series ‘Makers of Magic’ the participants were: Dragan Stevanović Bagzi – sound designer and producer, head of the sound department at Atelje 212; Ljiljana Mijailović – women’s costumes seamstress; Dragan Marjanović – men’s costumes tailor; Radica Komazec – fashion designer; Blagovesta Vasileva – stage and doll designer; Mirjana Milošević – shoemaker; Dušan Jovanović – sound engineer and head of the sound department at the Serbian National Theatre; Ivan Kiš – sculptor in the workshops of the Serbian National Theatre ‘Kombinat’.\nAuthor of the concept: Romana Bošković Živanović\nTalkers: Darinka Mihajlović better known as Selena Orb and Romana Bošković Živanović\nPartners of the Kaleidoscope of Culture 2022 are Erste Bank, IDEA, DDOR, A1 Srbija, and Heineken Srbija.\nPhoto: Promo\n
