SUMMARY:(Imaginary) Family Tales / Stage Design Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition ‘(Imaginary) Family Tales’ will be available from 1 to 9 September in the District, in the Radionica facility, location 2.\nThe exhibition is carried out as part of the project ‘Stage Design Exhibition’ and is part of the opening of the Kaleidoscope of Culture programme arch.\nEvery family, large or small, has its own tales – about people who were, had someone, did something, came, left, loved and wanted; about the places they built, demolished, preserved and left behind; about the objects they bought, used, received, gave away and put away. Even when the tales are not thee, or are kept silent about, they do not disappear. Some we remember, some were told to us, some we constructed ourselves. And what when all of them – people, places and objects – disappear, when they remain far behind us, or when there is no one left to tell us anything about them? What happens when the moment comes when we have no one left to ask?\nThe work (imaginary) FAMILY TALES is inspired by the search for memories and recollections, and represents a complex multi-media installation, created by combining eight individual stories – staged memories, told through scenic means of expression. During the three months of work, the students of the master’s study of Scenic Architecture and Design, in the Artistic Practice of Scenic Design course, researched family archives, wrote stories and created spatial installations, chronologically connecting them from 1938 to 2015.\nEach work bears the name of the person the story is about: Radoje (author: Katarina Cimbaljević), Bora (author: Milena Grošin), Meja (author: Danijela Matović), Desa (author: Marija Milosavljević), Johan (author: Andrea Sabo) , Dušan (author: Nikola Stojadinović), Milka (author Milica Surutka), Janoš (author: Marija Varga).\nTeaching team: Tatjana Dadić Dinulović, Daniela Dimitrovska, Vladimir Ilić and Andrija Dinulović\nJoint artistic work of students of the master’s degree in stage architecture and design\nSpace design, production and technical realisation of the work: student authors, with the support of Andrija Dinulović, Vladimir Savić, Mirjana Ris, Andrija Pavlović, Dragana Pilipović and Zoja Erdeljan.\nProject production: Department of Art and Design, Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad\nPartners of the Kaleidoscope of Culture 2022 are Erste Bank, IDEA, DDOR, A1 Srbija, and Heineken Srbija.\nPhoto: Promo\n
