SUMMARY:Conservation and Restoration through Photographic Lens
DESCRIPTION:The lecture and workshops entitled ‘Conservation and Restoration through Photographic Lens’ will be held in the Egység Cultural Station on 28 September at 3 p.m. as part of the Kaleidoscope of Culture ( https://kaleidoskopkulture.com/sr/kaleidoskop-kalendar/ ).\nProject activities will be implemented through three segments:\nLecture on the importance of cultural heritage and introduction to methods of examination of objects that are under protection.Painting workshop – preparation of objects for examination by infrared photography.\nPhotographing pictures from the workshop with infrared photography.\nThrough the lecture, the participants will be presented with values that are considered the cultural heritage of all of us – ways of protecting cultural assets as well as the possibilities of research conducted on such objects with the aim of learning more about the history of the object and the culture to which it belongs. Through the painting workshop, participants will be made aware of the technical process of creating a work of art and how it affects the further duration of the object. Finally, through a short photography workshop in the infrared area, the possibilities of examining works of art and revealing layers that are not visible to the eye during normal observation in white (visible) light will be demonstrated.\nThe significance of the project is to spread awareness about the importance and preservation of cultural heritage and about the ways of applying infrared photography.
