DESCRIPTION:JazzXchange feat. Bojan Z and Chico Freeman’s Trio Exotica will perform on 19 November at 8 p.m., and at 9 p.m. as part of the Other? Europe music programme.\nJazzXchange is a project of the European Capitals of Culture ‘Esch 2022’ led by the city of Dudelange with the partner cities of Kaunas (Lithuania) and Novi Sad. The project brought together musicians from Luxembourg, Lithuania and Serbia, who were selected by the celebrated pianist Bojan Zulfikarpašić.\nThe JazzXchange septet opened the 10th ‘Like a Jazz Machine’ festival in Dudelange on 12 May this year, presented the programme at the Kaunas Jazz Festival in June, and will hold the final concert on the last evening of the Novi Sad Jazz Festival 2022 ( https://novisadjazzfestival.rs/program/ ).\nChico Freeman, of the famous Chicago Freeman family – father, legendary saxophonist Von, uncles: guitarist George and drummer Bruz, mainly thanks to the diversity of styles (R&B, blues, hard bop, avant-garde) recorded more than 30 albums collaborating with greats like Sam Rivers, Sun Ra, as well as Latin legends Chucho Valdés, Tito Puente and Machito.\nPhoto: Promo\n
