DESCRIPTION:The famous Vojvodina Blues Band and Tihomir Pop Asanović, Croatian jazz-rock and fusion keyboardist, organist and composer, will perform on Zeppelin ( https://docekns.rs/en/portfolio-item/zeppelin-cafe-boat/ ) as part of Doček in Novi Sad on 13 January at 9 p.m. Pannonian blues musicians and one of the best Yugoslav keyboardists of all time will rock us on the Danube, on a ship with the most beautiful view of the Petrovaradin Fortress.\nThe Vojvodina Blues Band, in various cobinations, has existed for more than fifty years, since 1968. The most famous and most fruitful period of the band is associated with the name of singer and songwriter Dragan Jurišić, after whose untimely death (2008) the band practically ceased to exist. At the end of 2017, a group of enthusiasts and admirers of the work of the Vojvodina Blues Band, gathered around the guitarist Atila Šoti, decided to revive the story of the band that left a void on the Vojvodina blues scene by retiring, first by marking the fiftieth anniversary of the formation of the band, and then by presenting music that the band played in contemporary blues, jazz and rock arrangements. During the search for suitable musicians for this venture, dozens of artists from all over Vojvodina passed through the band, including a number of those who previously participated in the work of the Vojvodina Blues Band.\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouI5_MLX4z8 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouI5_MLX4z8 )\nTihomir Pop Asanović, the first owner of a Hammond organ in the former Yugoslavia and one of the few funky authors who was respected in the country and abroad, will perform alongside the Vojvodina Blues Band. In a career that lasts more than half a century, Pop Asanović played Josipa Lisac’s ‘Dnevnik Jedne Ljubavi’ with the Time band, he was a member of the band Septembar and B.P. Convention by Boško Petrović, and he also released the anthology albums ‘Majko Zemljo’ and ‘Pop’, as well as his comeback solo album with the symbolic name ‘Povratak Prvoj Ljubavi’. Asanović actively played in Yugoslavia and later when he lived in New York, where he met many world musicians such as Zappa, Sinatra, Michael Jackson and others.\n\nTickets for the performance will be sold at the entrance of Zeppelin, at a price of RSD 1000.\n
