DESCRIPTION:The exhibition Letters and Words, by Robert Tomšik, is opened at the Barka Cultural Station until May 18.\nRobert is a psychologist, a writer, but also one of the few artists in the world who create their works using a unique painting technique, i.e. writing with a typewriter. In 2006, he waded into these creative waters as a hobbyist, and after many years his love and interest in art and antiques gave birth to this specific method of creation – painting with a typewriter.\nAfter trying various techniques and machines, four typewriters became his basic means of creation: Konzul (1969), Kontinental (1934), Zeta (1955) and Torpedo (1920).\nEach of his typewriters is characterized by something special. Consul was intended for mathematicians and statisticians, Torpedo has a German testator, while Kontinental has a Czech one, which allows him to create unique details and shapes.\nAll works are written/painted on matte paper, which has sufficient strength to withstand the impact of a typewriter. Each work also features the author’s signature, as well as a unique seal impression printed with acrylic paint in Aruba Blue shade.\n
