DESCRIPTION:Zoran Krajišnik will open the concert programme of this year’s Vojvodina classical guitar festival in the Egység Cultural Station on 8 February at 7 p.m. The festival is being held within the Migrations programme arch.\nZoran Krajišnik is a professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and a famous name in the region and a synonym in the modern history of the Novi Sad classical guitar school.\nHe will interpret works by S. L. Weiss, M. LLobet, E. Sainz de la Maza and A. Carlevaro.\nThe development of the guitar in Novi Sad during the 20th century was overshadowed by its flourishing in other cities of Yugoslavia, especially Zagreb, Sarajevo and later, Belgrade. Guitarists such as Spiro Mytiakis and Jovan Kolarski lived and worked in Novi Sad. Thanks to them, the guitar was present at concert stages, within the Cultural and Artistic Society ‘Svetozar Marković’.\nIt wasn’t until 1979 that the ‘Isidor Bajić’ Music School began offering guitar lessons, with Ana Margaret-Vučak as a first pedagogue, who gradually managed to build foundations for further development of this art with her pioneering work.\nToday, Novi Sad is the centre of guitar art where new generations of guitarists, who achieve very notable success both in the field of pedagogy and as performers, have been formed.\nDue to the pandemic situation, the number of visitors is limited.\nPhoto: Promo\n
