DESCRIPTION:Writer and journalist Miljenko Jergović is coming to the contemporary pavilion of literature ‘Migration of Souls – Novi Sad through Literature’ in the Master Hall of the Novi Sad Fair on 6 March at 5 p.m. Ivan Milenković will host the programme. After the official programme, the author will sign his books at the Zenit publishing house booth. \nMiljenko Jergović was born in 1966 in Sarajevo, where he graduated in philosophy and sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, and today he lives in a village near Zagreb. He is a writer of stories, plays, poems and newspaper articles. He is best known as the author of short stories thematically related to Bosnia and Herzegovina. His works have been translated into about twenty languages. They are among the most popular titles of modern regional publishing. His first, most famous and most successful, collection of short stories about the chaotic everyday life in war-torn Bosnia and Herzegovina, ‘Sarajevo Marlboro’, published in 1994, was awarded the Erich-Maria-Remarque Peace Prize and the Ksaver Šandor Gjalski Prize. Since then, he has published short stories, essays and novels on various topics, as well as columns and articles in numerous publications in the former Yugoslavia.\nThe exhibition Migration of Souls – Novi Sad through Literature’  celebrates the book as a civilizational and cultural object through strong visual narratives and interventions.
