SUMMARY:Be That One
DESCRIPTION:The project ‘Be That One’, within the ‘Future of Europe’ programme arch, is a continuation of the successfully implemented project ‘Don’t Be That One’, organised by the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Creativity of Children and Youth COOLIST. Within the project, the children and young people participate in creative educational workshops, later presenting to the audience the mastered skills in the form of six sketches. The opening performance of sketches will take place in Аrena Cineplex on 9 April.\nIn the organised podcast shows within the project, the themes we touch on in our creative workshops will be discussed with selected participants. The premiere of all six episodes, followed by an interactive panel discussion with the audience, is on 10 April, when you will have the opportunity to watch it live online. All sketches have subtitles and are adapted for the hearing impaired.\nYasserstain is a group of young people headed by Milan Inic, who is fond of filming sketches, writing songs and initiating conversations. As part of the ‘Be That One’ project, Yasserstain will invite children and young people to participate in the creative educational workshops through social networks, and then present the skills to the audience in the form of six sketches. The idea of the project is to contribute to non-formal education through empathy as a process of creative creation, as well as encouraging divergent opinions among children and youth. Through a conversation on the same topic, we touch on the answers to the question of how it feels to be a friend, a crush, a schoolteacher, a parent, a student – the supporting roles turn into the main characters and the stereotypes of marginalized groups (Roma, the LGBT population, people with disabilities….) break down. The presentation will be realised over the internet platforms in the process of project activities, and after completion it will be shown live as flash mob performances of talented groups at several locations of Novi Sad and Zone 021, announcing the premiere as the main event.  Each activity will be adapted for the needs of the hard of hearing – with subtitles on video presentations and translation into sign language.\nThe partners on the project are Yasserstain, the Groove Dance Association, the Factor Center for the Development of Children and Adults as well as the Association for the Development of Exhibition Literacy ‘Expressiveness’.\n
