DESCRIPTION:The fourth edition of the ‘Upad’ theatre festival will be held in the SCC Fabrika ( http://www.skcns.org/fabrika/ ) from 10 to 16 May 2022, within the Future of Europe ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/sr-cir/buducnost-evrope-cir/ ) programme arch.\nThe ‘Upad’ theatre festival was launched three years ago by the Student Cultural Centre Novi Sad, as a partner organization of the European project ‘Be SpectACTive!’ that deals with audience development. The basic idea of ’Upad’ is the promotion and popularization of theatre art for young people, and all performances in the programme were chosen by active young spectators.\nThe project brings together 19 partner organizations from 15 European countries. The partners are well-known theatre festivals in Dublin, Gothenburg, Sibiu, Prague, Nitra, Sansepolcro, as well as universities in Montpellier and Barcelona. The project also includes regional networks of cultural institutions from Portugal and France. Traditionally, several local plays that actualize topics related to young people or made by young artists will be presented.\nThe plays we will see at the festival:\n \n1. ‘Root’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/the-root-upad-invasion/ ) on 12 May at 8 p.m. \n2. ‘The Other Map’  ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/the-other-map-upad-invasion/ )on 14 May at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. \n3. ‘Playing Reality’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/playing-reality-upad-invasion/ ) on 13 May at 8 p.m.\n5. ‘Tears of St. Lawrence’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/tears-of-st-lawrence-upad-invasion/ ) on 10 May at 8 p.m. \n6. ‘Hi Everybody’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/hi-evrybody-upad-invasion/ ) on 15 May at 8 p.m.\n7. ‘A Practical Guide to Superstition’ ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/a-practical-guide-to-superstition-upad-invasion/ ) 11 May at 8 p.m. \n8. ‘Babae ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/events/babae-upad-2/ )‘ 15 May at 5 p.m.\nFor pupils and students, admission is free to all performances, with mandatory beforehand reservation by email to upadfestival@gmail.com.
