SUMMARY:Following Roma Paths / Barka Cultural Station
DESCRIPTION:The Following Roma Paths project, which is a part of the Migration of Souls ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/en/mec-category/migration-of-souls/ ) programme, includes a digital catalogue that shows the folk costumes of the Roma in Vojvodina, which will along with a fashion show and a presentation of Roma folk dances and songs, present their heritage. It will be implemented in the Barka Cultural Station on 13 March within the Migrations ( https://kalendar.novisad2022.rs/seobe/ ) programme arch.\nEthnologist Živana Živanović will present the programme along with a new arrangement of the anthem ‘Gelem, Gelem’, and other multimedia content on the territory of these two municipalities. The composition will be performed by opera singer Danijela Đorđević. Danilo Jovanović will also take part in the programme with one Roma song, and at the end, ‘Cigančica’ will be danced.\nThe organizer of the project is the Roma Association ‘Karlovačke zore’, a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization, which focuses its activities especially on educating the Roma population in health, culture, sports, information and education, ecology, employment and self-employment.\nPartner of the Migration of Souls programme is the Novi Sad Fair ( https://sajam.net/sr/ ), and the companies Globos osiguranje ( https://www.globos.rs/sr/pocetna ) and Dijamant DOO ( https://www.dijamant.rs/ ) also provide support.\n
