Sitzpinker / Flags of the Future
The Belgrade band Sitzpinker will perform on 30 April at midnight, in the Creative District, as part of the three-day Flags of the Future event.
Sitzpinker is a Belgrade band consisting of Dunja Mijačić (vocals, synth), Danilo Ilić (guitar), Pavle Trifunović (guitar/bass) and Andrej Mladenović (drums). Their debut EP ‘Podlo poštovanje’ was recorded in 2018 in Down There studio in collaboration with Uroš Milkić. As one of the bands from the HaliGali collective, they performed at the HaliGali festival and appeared on the compilation in 2019 with the single ‘Metanoja’.
In the meantime, they had a large number of concerts throughout Serbia, and their biggest performances were concerts at Arsenal and Beer Fest. With the singles ‘Da li’, ‘Sudan’ and ‘Mustang’, they announced their first album in collaboration with the independent label Pop Depresija/Kišobran, and along the way, they discovered a new direction in which the band is moving. All three singles became regional hits, and the videos further boosted the huge expectations for the band in the upcoming period. Perhaps the easiest way to describe their sound is to say it is indie garage rock with hints of shoegaze, triphop and psychedelic rock.
