Exhibition: Utopia
The exhibition of paintings by Danijela Knežević Utopia is opened from July 17 to August 6 in the Art Salon of the Cultural Center of Novi Sad.
A place that doesn’t exist.
An idealized and ideal place.
Abstract.
Perfect condition.
This exhibition carries the idea of preserving spirit, playfulness, openness and honesty in a time of increasing alienation. Although the motifs of abstract scenes are present, the sensory experience is related to emotion, inner feeling, conscience, words and play. The process of creation is already in itself a “perfect state” and has a utopian streak because it leads to a non-existent ideal place, within ourselves. The painting refers to the imaginary and represents the inner atmosphere, through the research of form, gesture, color and surface. The substrate has the character of ether. A layer of lyrical notes, signs, colors, shapes and textures add rhythm to the atmosphere of the images.
