Photo Exhibition by Pavel Surový
You will have a chance to see the photo exhibition by Pavel Surový in cultural stations Barka, Svilara, Rumenka, Bukovac until 14 February.
The identity of all of us, i.e. the beauty and richness of the diversity of folk costumes of the peoples of Vojvodina and the whole of Serbia, will be best presented at the exhibition of a world-renowned graphic designer from Kisač. His work is a specific reinterpretation of folk costumes as intangible cultural heritage, which boldly composes traditional elements, presenting them in a new, modern light.
Pavel Surový strives to present the traditional and tangible culture from a unique perspective, while the particularly important element of his artistic approach is the perception of female beauty as a non-historical, i.e. timeless aesthetic category. His photographs are the product of the search for the ideal of eternal beauty, the expression that changes the perspective on women, history, tradition and for the experiment that provokes and changes dogmas and behavioural patterns. You can read the interview with Pavel Surový here.
You can visit the exhibition in cultural stations Svilara, Egység, Bukovac and Barka every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., while you can see the photographs in the Rumenka Cultural Station every workday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Visitors are obliged to wear face masks during the event, as well as to keep their distance. The entrance is free of charge.
