Tango Ensemble Libercuatro (Serbia) / Caravan
The concert by the tango ensemble Libercuatro will be held within the ‘Caravan‘ project in the Egység Cultural Station on 19 March at 7:30 p.m.
The mission of the ensemble is to present tango music and this specific culture, which was included in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009, to a wider audience. The ensemble’s regular repertoire includes traditional tango compositions, Tango Nuevo compositions by Astor Piazzolla, and modern tango compositions.
The Gastro Migrations project is part of the Migrations programme arch within which we can expect a gastronomic journey. From 17 until 20 March, we’ll visit different European regions in the hopes that food will provide an occasion to consider otherness and difference. Visit our cultural stations and feel the taste of the international spirit of togetherness.
The project includes four days of culinary and musical programmes at the cultural stations of Novi Sad and Zone 021. Each day is dedicated to a programme unit from Europe’s northern, western, southern and eastern regions, both international and regional in character.
In the evenings a programme featuring world music performances will highlight the musical traditions of eastern, western, northern and southern Europe.
You can see the programme on the Caravan page.
The programme is supported by IDEA.
