ChoreoChroma

The ChoreoChroma project, developed through the cultural partnership of Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, the Association of Dance Artists ‘Lucoda’ from Luxembourg and the Bewegend Beeld Foundation from Rotterdam, was conceived to connect two European Capitals of Culture: Novi Sad and Esch (Luxembourg).

Within the Future of Europe programme arch, on 9 April, the young people will present the work they perform with the artists, through a kind of ‘work-in-progress’ performance. In a workshop held in Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, the audience will be a mediator presenting the research process and educational methodology, empowered through active participation in heritage interpretation and mediation.

Also, the intensive workshops of four foreign artists and a group of young people should open artistic dialogue, encourage questioning and creativity, and find common artistic threads.

In 2021, the artists started a research process re-examining the boundaries of various forms of artistic expression, having Sava Shumanovic painting ‘Breakfast on the Grass from Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection as a starting point. They formed an initial group of young people that will collaborate with the professionals in Novi Sad. The finalization of both artistic and educational activities of the project will be realised in 2022 in Novi Sad, Esch and Rotterdam.
