Let’s Widen the Frame
Creative drama workshops for young people called ‘Let’s Widen the Frames’ will be implemented in the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad. The workshops are intended for children aged 10 to 16. Children with physical disabilities and learning difficulties are also welcome.
The workshops are implemented within the Migrations programme arch, in four terms: 25 February, 4, 12 and 19 March.
The ‘Let’s Widen the Frames’ project aims at developing the audience and uses drama as a medium in educating and nurturing the museum’s youth. The methodology of working with young audience is based on the use of applied theatre techniques – drama in galleries, theatre in education, creative drama and the drama process.
Theatre pedagogues, who already have rich experience in conducting workshops with children and adolescents aged ten to sixteen, will encourage audiences who rarely come to galleries and museums to reconsider their own and social attitudes through the current topic of the global migration crisis through the language of art.
