Morten Jensen Vågen
An exhibition by artist Morten Jensen Vågen will take place on 29 July on the Štrand Novi Sad beach, as part of the project The Danube Sea.
It represents an abstract art pavilion of works of art, realized in cooperation with international and local artists where the collectives ‘Translation Flowers’ and ‘The Danube Transformation Agency’ work with the Norwegian artist Morten Jensen Vågen on in-situ projects, together with the citizens on the Štrand beach.
The artist collects everyday objects to create the tools to be used in case of ecological catastrophes.
Morten Jensen Vågen is known for his ad hoc style that makes use of thrown out, used and forgotten objects to create tools to help him survive. The works of the artist already imply an apocalyptic scenario so he can show us how to make an awning to avoid the sun or the acid rain, or the shelters we can use in the overpopulated, exploited and ecologically destroyed world.
