The performance of Symphony No. 9 will be organised as a major open-air concert, at the Petrovaradin Fortress on 26 June at 8.22 p.m.
The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most important music institutions in our country will, together with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, take us on the unique symphonic Beethoven Marathon, as a demonstration of artistic strength, showing us the development of Beethoven’s work, and finally trying to send a message of peace and joy to the whole of Europe.
Over two hundred and fifty professional singers, as well as musicians from Germany, Serbia, and Slovakia, will turn the most important orchestral works of this maestro into a magical encounter with a special kind of classical music – an encounter that crosses national borders, is international, connects cities and peoples in true cultural exchange.
