Biennale of Stage Design2022

The Biennale of the Stage Design will run from 1 to 9 September, at several cultural, artistic and educational locations (Student campus in Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, Rectorate building of the University of Novi Sad, Creative District) and in several buildings within the University of Novi Sad, as part of the Opening and Architecture Week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture programme arch.

Since the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation has included the Biennale of Stage Design in one of the main projects of the programme, the Biennale will dedicate its full time to the exploration, seizure, reanimation, and discovery of old, abandoned, underused spaces in Novi Sad, using them as stages for various events.

The Biennale promotes the so-called invisible people, those in the background, even though they are the actual ‘producers’ of the theatre, which puts them on the same level as the authors.

The works that will be presented in the District from 1 to 9 September:

(Imaginary) Family Tales / Radionica, location 2

Student Biennale / Fabrika, location 2

Master’s Letter / Radionica, location 4

Makers of Magic / Radionica, location 6

Collab Commons / Gvožđara, location 1

Orientation in One Hundred Revolutions / Gvožđara, location 2
