BioBridge – At Audience’s Behest / ReCapitulation

The performance ‘BioBridge – At Audience’s Behest’ will be held on the Varadin Bridge (Rainbow Bridge) on 9 July, within the Fortress of Peace programme arch.

A part of the demolished ‘Marshal Tito Bridge’ will be exhibited, and citizens will be able to take photos of the bridge, as well as buy a part of the bridge (analogy with the Berlin Wall). Parts of the bridge will be sold per piece, kilo, metre, etc. It is possible to bargain about the price. The idea of the performance is to draw attention to painful moments from the recent history of our city, with a re-examination of the guilt not only of those who demolished the bridge, but of a whole series of events that led to the demolition. The sale and trade of parts of the bridge is a critical review of war profiteering, trade by the ‘culture of memory’, commercialization of trauma, sale of public property.

The event is accessible to people with disabilities.

As part of the ‘reCAPITULATION’ project, in addition to the exhibition with the same name, which will be set up from July 3 to August 2 at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina and the Šok zadruga (Shock Cooperative) gallery space, a graphic performance ‘Graphic Cooperative – New Bridges’ will be held at the Quay Amphitheater. victims of the Raid, July 10 from 5 to 9 p.m.
