Božo Vrećo and Edin Karamazov – Lachrimae
Božo Vrećo, a stunning performer, author and composer of sevdalinka, heart-breaking love lyrics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will hold a concert within the Migrations programme arch in the City Concert Hall on 15 March at 6 p.m. and at 8.30 p.m.
This lyric tenor with a huge vocal range provokes storms of enthusiasm and inspiration in the audience. Proof of this are the sold-out concert halls, theatres, and sacral facilities where he performs throughout Europe and the world.
He released two albums: ‘Halka’ and ‘O ljubavi’ with his first Sarajevo band ‘Halka’. Soon he focused on his solo career and released his own album ‘Moj sevdah’, which, in addition to interpretations of famous sevdalinka songs and his first author’s composition ‘Lejlija’, is a song dedicated to his beloved mother. ‘Lejlija’ is experiencing unprecedented success and sets the standard and its recognizable mark in writing and interpreting original sevdah music, which inspires him to continue creating completely new love poetry, sung on his fourth, so far highest-circulation album ‘Pandora’, released in Brussels. His fifth album ‘Melek’ was released in July 2018, and the sixth ‘Lacrimae’ together with Edin Karamazov in September 2020, both released in collaboration with Croatia Records.
Božo’s a cappella performance leaves everyone breathless.
‘The artist of the angelic voice, who heals souls and opens hearts’, is a description of Božo Vrećo, as the famous New York Times describes him.
Božo Vrećo and Edin Karamazov will present their new studio album Lachrimae to the Novi Sad audience.
