Crusade for Milica / Vila

The literary programme within the ‘Vila’ festival is organised by the Cultural Center of Vojvodina ‘Miloš Crnjanski’ and will be held from 3 to 5 June in Vrdnik (Fruške Terme Resort). An award for the best book of poetry will be given as part of the ‘Crusade for Milica’ event, held every year and dedicated to women’s literary creation.

Friday, 3 June – Introductory welcoming programme

7 p.m. / Discussion ‘Becoming a Female Author’ – a song for Milica Stojadinović Srpkinja

Saturday, 4 June

12 p.m. / Opening ceremony of the 46th ‘Crusade for Milica’ event

1 p.m. / Promotion of poetry selection ‘We Are on the Islands Now’ by Jasmina Topić, the current winner of the ‘Milica Stojadinovic Srpkinja’ Literary Award

6 p.m. / Literary programme ‘Becoming a Female Author’ – Promotion of the Anthology ‘If I Am Her’ – a selection of poetry by laureates published on the 10th anniversary of the literary prize ‘Milica Stojadinović Srpkinja’ being awarded exclusively to female authors

7.30 p.m. / Musical performance by Jasmina Topić

Promotion of the CD edition of the collection ‘Temporary Residence’ (Arhipelag, 2020), a book declared the best collection of poems in Serbian published between two events – the ‘Milica Stojadinović Srpkinja’ literary award for 2021.
