Cubanero salsa festival
Cubanero Salsa Festival is one of the largest and most recognizable salsa festivals in this part of Europe, which gathers a large number of dancers and lovers of Cuban music, and will be held from May 9 to 12 at several locations in the city.
The goal of the festival is the promotion of salsa and other Cuban dances, music and culture of Latin American countries, as well as encouraging socializing and friendship between people. The festival program includes various dance and music events, workshops, concerts and performances at several locations in the city, including the main city squares. Free open dance workshops are organized in the square, where visitors have the opportunity to learn the basics of salsa, while learning from the best teachers. Exhibitions of paintings and photographs from previous festivals are organized as a side program, while one exhibition and part of the program aims to promote the timeless culture of this Caribbean island. During the festival, an entire street in the city center is transformed into a small Havana where for four days people hang out, play music, sing and dance, just as it is done on the streets of the capital of Cuba.
You can find the program on the organizer’s website.
