Ivana Dimić was born in Belgrade in 1957, and she is a dramaturgy graduate. She is writing short stories, dramas, dramatisations, TV scripts, translations, as well as plays for Belgrade theatres. She is a member of the Serbian Literary Guild since 2001 and has had the status of a Prominent artist in the Association of Drama Artists of Serbia since 2005. She carried out the function of the Assistant Minister of Culture, Director of National Theatre Drama and Director of ‘Atelje 212’. She lives and works in Belgrade as a retiree.
