Do You Believe in Fairy Tales?
The theatre festival ‘Do You Believe in Fairy Tales?’ will be held within the ‘Fairy Tales of the Future‘ programme arch in the Cultural Station Rumenka, from 7 to 9 May 2022, and is intended exclusively for pre-school children.
The reason for founding the festival, which combines puppetry, music, contemporary theatre and dance, is a deep human need to believe in fairy tales.
The music program will offer the performance of suite compositions from the ‘Nutcracker’ ballet by Tchaikovsky, performed by the Camerata Academica, under the direction of concertmaster Robert Lakatos.
The festival will bring together participants from the country and abroad with the programme featuring the premiere of four plays as the result of residential children workshops introducing the theme of ‘New readings of old fairy tales’ to make the traditional narratives of fairytales comply with the contemporary values.
