DAY#5: KAOKONCERT / (Non)Working Hours – Tuning the Sustainable Community
Workshop and discussion on the relationship between the education system and work ‘DAY#5: KAOKONCERT’ will be held in the pavilion on Štrand on 30 July from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. within the ‘(Non)Working Hours – Tuning the Sustainable Community’ project.
Through a one-week open workshop, visitors will have a chance to get acquainted with all segments of processing plastic waste that is directly collected at Štrand, into finished designed products.
This includes collection, selection by type, preparation for crushing, shredding, pressing, extrusion with the help of a mold, etc. but also a series of discussions dedicated to a completely new approach to work, art, technology, sociability and design.
The finale of this one-week adventure will be rounded off with an impro-concert that will combine sounds of machines, instruments made of waste and voices.
As part of the project, all citizens will have the opportunity to participate in workshops at the pavilion on Štrand from 2 to 7 p.m.:
