Emma Ruth Rundle

American musician Emma Ruth Rundle will perform in front of the Novi Sad audience on July 21 in Sinagogue, starting at 9 p.m.

Emma Ruth Rundle is a multi-faceted American artist who in her musical expression moved through different but always strong and unique expressions, from dreamy abstraction (as in her debut album “Electric Guitar: One”), to the exploration of loud and maximalist sound textures (as in projects of her bands Marriages, Red Sparowes, Nocturnes or in collaborations with Chelsea Wolfe and Thou), as well as to a quiet and minimalistic acoustic singer-songwriter expression (as on the album “Some Heavy Ocean”).

However, the last album “Engine of Hell”, which Emma Ruth Rundle performs in its entirety on this tour, alone at the concert piano and acoustic guitar, represents a kind of turning point in her life and work. What makes this release and the current tour special is the deeply personal and intimate nature of the music, as well as the way the artist communicates her personal experience with
listeners and audience. The intimacy of the confession of personal trauma – loss, regret and finding strength and hope through the renewal of personal relationship with the world – turns into a stylistic character of music, singing and relationship with the audience, which touches everyone present on a deeply personal level through the themes of human imperfection, vulnerability, sadness, healing and hope. What we feel listening to her performance
“Engine of Hell” is what Emma Ruth Rundle herself said about the creation of the album: “things have to change, and with this album things have changed for me”.

Emma Ruth Rundle’s presence is both strong and gentle, and her music is both dark and transcendent, making meeting her an experience that deeply touches and changes us.

A special guest at the Emma Ruth Rundle concert will be William Fowler Collins, a renowned musician and composer from New Mexico, whose music spans the realms of new classical music, minimalist and drone music, and free improvisation.

You can buy tickets in advance at the price of 2000 rsd. From July 15, the price will be 2,500 rsd, while on the day of the concert it will be 2,800 rsd.
