Europe According to Feješ

The exhibition ‘Europe according to Feješ’ will host from 11 to 23 October in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad within the programme arch Other? Europe.

The exhibition will present the art by Emerik Feješ, the protagonist of urban landscapes in the Yugoslav naive.

The exhibition of paintings by an unconventional painter of the 20th century will present the works of a retired master of making buttons painted with toothpicks, corn and button paints.

They represent his vision of the cities of Europe he once wanted to visit, but because of poverty, he did not.

The curators of the exhibition are the architect Ilija Gubić and the art historian Jelena Jovanović.

Curatorial guidance through the exhibition “Europe according to Feješ” will be held on October 13 and 15 in the Cultural Center of Novi Sad.

The curatorship of Ilija Gubić on the topic “Beyond the borders of geography, canons and conventions – the art of Emeric Feješ and Vu Zan Tan” is scheduled for October 19 at 5 p.m. in the premises of TONS.

Professional guidance in English will be held on October 21 at TONS, and at 4:30 p.m. in Russian by the artist’s daughter, Nyusha Vu.

The event is accessible to people with physical disabilities.
