European Culture – Individual Impact

A regional meeting of the European Youth Parliament called ‘European culture – the individual impact’, organised by the European Youth Parliament in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, will take place under the Future of Europe programme arch in the grammar school  ‘Jovan Jovanović Zmaj’ in Novi Sad, from 7 until 10 April.

The discussion about the socio-political future of Europe remains the theme of the European Youth Parliament of Serbia, with young people learning about the chief topics and news from Europe and its surroundings and further developing through innovative methods of non-formal education. They will also learn about the work of European institutions and have debates with their peers and European experts.

The meeting brings together secondary school students from Novi Sad and the surrounding areas, as well as thirty-five volunteers from Serbia and Europe, enabling them to exchange views on some of the most important cultural issues that Europe encounters. The participants will gather into workgroups, each having one or two moderators, within the umbrella theme  ‘European Culture – Individual Impact’ that encompasses different sub-themes (multilingualism, protection of ethnic and linguistic minorities, media and religious pluralism and similar ones). The work results from the international meetings are submitted to the European Parliament and other European institutions as a contribution of the young people to the international dialogue and politics.
