Exhibition ‘Drawings Travel Through Time’

The multimedia interactive exhibition of children and youth drawings ‘Drawings travel through time‘ will be opened on 28 April in the Creative District and will run until 12 June.

Visitors will be able to see the exhibition on all days except Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The exhibition rests on archival material collected since 1952 when the European Coal and Steel Community was founded and became the forerunner of today’s European Union.

The Centre for Art Education of Children and Youth of Vojvodina is an association that has been continuously engaged in the affirmation of children’s artistic creation and improvement of artistic education for 67 years. As such, it is the only institution of its kind in our country, but also the entire Balkans.

Affirmation and study of authentic children’s artistic expression and creativity is validated through a rich and invaluable collection of artworks of children and youth, consisting primarily of works from our country, but also from other parts of the former Yugoslavia and the world as well.

The collection that the Centre owns is estimated at one million children’s artworks, of which about 30 thousand were singled out for the exhibition ‘Drawings Travel Through Time’, and a shortlist was selected to be presented in the Creative District.

A particularly important aspect of the Centre’s activities is international cooperation, which is achieved through participation with collections of works in international competitions for children’s art and international exchange of exhibitions and visits of representatives of the Centre to similar institutions around the world. Thanks to this cooperation, the Centre now owns children’s works from more than 110 countries around the world.

You can see details on other programmes, jazz concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and performances, which will be held in the Creative District on 28 April as part of the three-day programme ‘Flags of the Future’, on this link

The ‘Flags of the Future’ programme is sponsored by: IDEA, DDOR, and A1 Srbija.
