Exhibition: Photographs by Vladimir Veličković

Exhibition of photographs by Vladimir Veličković, about the most significant events of the European Capital of Culture from 2018 to 2022, will be opened on September 26 at 7 p.m. in the Menza building in the District. Visitors will be able to view the exhibition until October 3, and the building’s working hours will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, while it will be closed on Thursday.

Vladimir Veličković is a photographer born in Sombor in 1993, who lives and works in Novi Sad. He has been involved in photography for more than 10 years, since 2012 after graduating from the “Mileva Marić-Einštajn” Technical School, Department of Photography, following some of the most significant events and projects of key institutions and organizations in the city.

Among the institutions and organizations, significant cooperation is achieved with the Serbian National Theatre, the Youth Theatre, the American Corner, but also with the teams that lead two major projects of national importance, i.e. two prestigious European titles won by Novi Sad – Youth Capital of Europe Novi Sad (OPENS ) and Novi Sad – the European Capital of Culture.

As part of those projects, Veličković photographed some of the most important cultural, youth and sports events in the city, among them – the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Capital of Europe, OPENS district – an international festival of street culture, art and sports, OPENS quiz – one of the biggest multimedia events.

As part of the “Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture” project, since 2017, Veličković recorded the most important events, among which the new cultural brands of Novi Sad – Doček and Kaleidoscope of Culture, cooperation with the network of cultural stations, and works with which he accompanied the transformation of the District.

In addition to the numerous national festivals he worked on, EXIT, Street Musicians, Lovefest, Jazz Festival, Film Front, Limenka Theater Fest and many others stand out, but also in the region, among which Sea Dance Festival, Sea Star Festival, SONUS and the second where he recorded the performances of some of the biggest names in music and world stars.

Veličković participated in 10 solo and group exhibitions, of which his favorite is the Jazzography exhibition that marked the month of jazz in American Corner in Novi Sad.
