CANCELED! Due to the great tragedy that befell our city, the “Ageless” festival is cancelled. Information about the new date of the festival and tickets will be announced in the following period. We sympathize with our fellow citizens and their families at this difficult time.
The Festival Ageless will be held on November 1st and 2nd at the Novi Sad Theatre (Újvidéki Színház). It is Serbia’s first artistically engaged festival dedicated to exploring and raising awareness about the issue of discrimination against older people.
Organized by the Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture Foundation in collaboration with the Artičoka Association and the Red Cross of Serbia, the festival aims to shed light on the often overlooked and deeply ingrained prejudices against the elderly in society.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, Ageless addresses various forms of discrimination faced by older people, particularly in the areas of social and pension policies, gender equality, employment, healthcare, with special attention to the pervasive violence against the elderly. Through artistic and spoken formats, the festival’s programs invite an open dialogue on how society can support older people and ensure they have equal rights and respect, primarily through the promotion of intergenerational solidarity.
The festival is supported by the City of Novi Sad and the European Union through the CERV program (Network of Cities), as part of the Age Against the Machine project.
