‘There is no fate that cannot be surmounted by scorn.’ (The Myth of Sisyphus, Albert Camus)
In the play ‘I, Sisyphus’ we explore the path of man’s eternal return to himself. Ever since antiquity, philosophers have discovered the absurdity of human behaviour. Whatever path one takes, whoever one tries to become, whatever escape route one takes, one always comes back to oneself. Human life is a repetition of one and the same action: spiral, same, predictable. This constant action forces us to meditate not on the meaning, but on the meaninglessness of human life.
