The concert of the increasingly popular Japanese guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer Miyavi will be held within the Migrations programme arch in Hall 1 of the Novi Sad Fair, on 3 March at 8 p.m.

Miyavi has gained worldwide recognition for his unconventional style of guitar playing — not with a guitar pick, but with his fingers and a ‘slap style’ that is unusual. Miyavi has had six successful world tours, with more than 250 performances in 30 countries across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

In 2013, Miyavi entered a new phase with the release of the single ‘Ahead of the Light’, which features his slap guitar with strong rhythms of electro/dance music. His self-titled album, Miyavi, was released in Japan in June 2013 and is now being released in Asia, Europe and North America.

In recent years, Miyavi has attracted the attention of other artists and creators in the field. He also produced music for television commercials and received a lot of attention from fashion brands. With his acting debut in Unbroken, Miyavi was inspired by the message of peace he himself aspired to, thus he was able to use all his performing skills as an actor who considers his body and soul as his instrument. Consistently striving for the next level, fans call Miyavi a ‘samurai guitarist’.

The concert is supported by the EU Japan Fest.

You can buy tickets in Gigstix ticket offices, via their website, as well as at the Novi Sad Fair ticket office, where tickets for all events will be sold between 5 and 8 p.m. The event is standing-room only.

Partner of the Migration of Souls programme is the Novi Sad Fair, and the companies Globos osiguranje and Dijamant DOO also provide support.
