(Non)Working Hours – Tuning the Sustainable Community
‘(Non)Working Hours – Tuning the Sustainable Community’ workshops will be held at the pavilion on Štrand, within The Danube Sea programme arch, from 25 to 31 July, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Through a one-week open workshop, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with all segments of the procedure of processing plastic waste, that is directly collected on Štrand, into finished designed products.
This includes collection, selection by type, preparation for crushing, shredding, pressing, extrusion with the help of a cast, etc. but also a series of discussions dedicated to a completely new approach to work, art, technology, sociability, and design.
The finale of this one-week adventure will be rounded off with an impro-concert that will combine sounds of machines, instruments made of waste, and voices.
The aim of the project is to unite the spheres of education, local activism, social inclusion, and socially conscious activities of the local community.
