Novi Sad Theatre Festival

International theatre festival for children and youth ‘Novi Sad Theatre Festival’, produced by the Youth Theatre, will bring together professional live and puppet theatres, professional theatre troupes and groups from all around the world.
Plays within the ‘Novi Sad Theatre Festival’ will be performed from 7 to 15 May at the Youth Theatre as part of the ‘Fairy Tales of the Future’ programme unit.
The festival is of a competitive nature and aims to promote live and puppet theatre for children and youth, strengthen international cultural interchange, promote theatre arts and creators, the exchange of ideas and theatre practices, and is dedicated to the development of modern puppet theatre for children and youth.

Saturday, 7 May at 11 a.m. – ‘Invisible Lands‘ (‘Livsmedlet’ (‘Grus Grus Teatteri’) – Turku, Finland)

Sunday, 8 May at 7 p.m. – ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ (‘Maribor Puppet Theatre’ – Maribor, Slovenia and ‘Rijeka City Puppet Theater’ – Rijeka, Croatia)

Monday, 9 May at 7 p.m. – ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ (‘Herceg Novi Theatre’ and ‘Herceg Novi April Theatre Festival’ – Herceg Novi, Montenegro)

You can buy tickets for the plays within the ‘Novi Sad Theatre Festival’ at the box office of the Youth Theatre. The individual ticket price is RSD 500, while the group ticket price is RSD 350.

Admission to the premiere of the play ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ in the city centre is free.
